If you leave the salesperson your phone number and/or email, he/she will give you offers for the car that you want a day or two after you leave. Mine left an offer and I declined. The offer got better the next day and I got my truck.

You have provided great information about printers and their problems. Dot matrix printer can print on multi-part stationary or make carbon copies. Thanks for sharing this awesome post.

I bought a car.

The whole process was interesting from the start.

I first sent emails to every dealer that I was willing to drive to with the price that I wanted to pay. I knew the invoice price and all the incentives, so I calculated a decent markup. They all rejected the offer except for one dealer. Therefore, I went to that dealer to seal the deal. I like to mention that a few dealers misread my price in the email and told me what the car's invoice price was as well as any incentives they were given which was identical to what I had gotten from CarCostCanada.com.

Upon entering the salesperson's office, I showed the salesperson my copy of CarCostCanada.com's car's invoice price. He/she looked at it and ,based on his/her expression, seemed to already know who CarCostCanada.com was. I was given a worksheet with a fee. I told the salesperson that I wanted this fee off the paper. He/she left the office and came back with the worksheet with the word (optional) beside it. He/she explained that this fee is optional and that once I talked to the person who is selling this product, I can take it off then. I brought out the calculator and crunched a few numbers to make sure that the price of the car is what I wanted. I, then, signed the worksheet.

I waited a couple of weeks for my car since it was not at this dealership. During this time, I did some more research on the fees and submitted an email to the general manager of this dealership.

When it came time to pickup the car, the fee was gone.

I am unsure if my email actually reached the general manager, but the process afterwards was straightforward. The finance manager asked if I wanted extended warranty and/or anything else. I said no once, and that was it. No pushing, no explanations, no sales pitches from the finance manager.

Since the car came in the month after, I was given the option of taking the financing for the previous month or the current month. I obviously chose the better option.

Before I signed the final papers, I did the usual calculations to ensure that the price matches what I was quoted + freight + HST + other required taxes. Satisfied with the numbers, I signed the paper and got the keys.

I did not quite understand, but the salesperson said one last thing before I left. Please give us a good review.

I will leave it to you to figure out the rest.

I purposely did not give any details on who the car dealer is due from the fact that I am pretty sure all car dealers work the same way.

I have tested a similar solution, but I have used an external TV-tuner with a cable TV provider.

Since the cable TV was not encrypted, I was able to watch TV on a computer monitor while recording shows on the computer using the recording software provided. Therefore, it should work.

Unfortunately, my TV-tuner died from overheating. Therefore, I am unable to test the current setup.

I have recently purchased a new TV and it works fine. Therefore, the box will work with any TV.

I second the above. Complete waste of time. Take your little hypothesis down until you have a solution.
