I do not believe there is such a thing as a stupid question. People ask questions that I often think are trivial, but then I realize that I was raised with computers. Therefore, what I believe is trivial is often not for another.
This is the reason why I do my best to make my answers simple to understand and follow. I know that many people cannot decipher an answer that is short and complex. In some cases, the person may need someone to lead them by the hand.
If my answers seem kind of verbose, I do it for a reason. I try to accommodate all level of skills. An expert can scan the answer and find the answer he/she is looking for while a novice can read the whole thing and get a better understanding.
This is the way I like to do things. Always assume that the person who asks a question is a newbie.
